About Le Sucre
Le Sucre Cake Studio is a family pâtisserie on California's Central Coast, where French technique meets the fruit, flowers, and light of the Monterey Bay.

Meet Chef Yazmin Flores
Chef Yazmin Flores trained in classic French pastry and built Le Sucre around a simple idea: every celebration deserves a dessert that tastes as considered as it looks. Each cake is made to order in small batches, using seasonal California produce, European butter, and Valrhona chocolate. My love for cakes began when I was three, pretending to make them. As I grew older, I taught myself through cookbooks and magazines and became the cake maker for my entire family—and we are a very big family! That’s when I discovered how much I loved bringing people together through desserts. I later earned my degree in Culinary Arts in Mexico City. For more than 15 years, my career has taken me across Mexico, The Bahamas, and the United States, working in luxury hotels and restaurants, including JW Marriott Nashville and Alila Ventana Big Sur. Along the way, I learned that pastry is about more than beautiful presentation—it is about flavors, memories, and meaningful moments people can share. My Mexican roots are at the heart of Le Sucre. That’s why you may find flavors such as café de olla, mole rosa, or tres leches reimagined through French pastry techniques. To me, they are more than flavors; they hold memories, culture, and a piece of my soul. In May 2025, I followed my dream and created Le Sucre. It represents my experience, creativity, culture, sacrifices, and dream of building something of my own. Every dessert is made with intention, professional techniques, and a personal touch. As a small-business owner, every order, farmers’ market visit, recommendation, review, and returning customer means more to me than you may realize. Your support allows me to continue doing what I have loved since childhood. There is one word that comes directly from my heart: gracias. Gracias to my team, my husband, and every customer who has trusted me to be part of your birthdays, weddings, family gatherings, and special celebrations. Gracias for believing in my dream and becoming part of the Le Sucre story.
Our philosophy
Small batches. Real ingredients. No shortcuts. We keep our order book intentionally short so every dessert leaves the studio at its best — whether it's a single entremet or a full wedding dessert table.
